Compliance Officer for Canton & Watonga

General Description
Employee is under the direct supervision of the Compliance Director. The Compliance Officer will be responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance in a gaming facility in accordance with Lucky Star Department Policy & Procedures, Cheyenne and Arapaho Gaming Commission Tribal Internal Control Standards and National Indian Gaming Commission Minimal Internal Control Standards and Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribal – State of Oklahoma Gaming Compact.
Work Schedule
- Requires morning, afternoon and evenings. Monday through Sunday.
- Request to be scheduled off for a specific day requires advance notification and approval
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform reviews and updates as necessary to Lucky Star Department policies and Procedures; effectively communicate to appropriate gaming personnel.
- Perform inspections in areas of licensee and gaming devices.
- Conduct periodic checklist audits as they relate to CAGC TICS and NIGC MICS requirements.
- Conduct investigations of reported non-compliance matters related to Department P&P’s, CAGC TICS and NIGC MICS.
- Ensure appropriate remedial/disciplinary action has taken place.
- Monitors and conducts training of all Casino personnel on Department Policy and Procedures updates, ensures Casino management is aware that applicable Casino personnel are aware and have been adequately trained on Department Policy and Procedures updates.
- Ensures training is documented and distributed to the Casino Human Resources department for employee records.
- Collects, analyzes and maintains records for distribution to the Compliance Director.
- Ensures open communication and provide assistance to Compliance Director and General Manager in gaming related matters.
- Knowledgeable of CAGC TICS, NIGC MICS
- Knowledgeable of Title 31 as specified by U.S. Treasury Bank Secrecy Act & U.S. Patriot Act of 2001.
- Must exhibit STAR treatment to all customers and co-workers.
- Other duties as assigned by Compliance Director.
Physical Job Requirements
- Sit and/or stand continuously and perform job functions for a full shift with lunch break.
- Requires bending, twisting, reaching, climbing, stooping, crouching, kneeling, lifting and pulling.
- Move objects up to and exceeding 25lbs. with reasonable accommodations.
- Gaming floor environment with some office environment.
Qualification Standards
- Must pass pre-employment drug test
- Must have 5 years related gaming experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of Gaming regulatory compliance responsibilities, Cheyenne and Arapaho Gaming Commission Tribal Internal Control Standards, National Indian Gaming Commission Minimum Internal Control Standards.
- MS Office Tools experience; knowledge of computer systems and/or communications systems
- Above average verbal and written communication skills
- Must maintain valid Cheyenne-Arapaho Gaming License.
