General Description
Under the direct supervision of the General Manager. Incumbent is responsible for the profit center of management of the entire table games department, overseeing the entire staff of the facility. Able to provide strong innovative leadership in organizational development and activities to create productive work environments and positive outcomes to maximize revenues and profits through producing consistent customer service, converting “trial” customers into repeat clientele. Responsible for the motivation and morale of the table games staff. Acts as a liaison between all departments thus insuring the highest quality service to the casino table game’s valued players. Responsible for achieving table games volume required by the company to reach their financial goals. l
Work Schedule
- Requires morning, afternoons, evenings and night shifts. Monday through Sunday.
- Request to be scheduled off for a specific day requires advance notification and approval from supervisor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Enforces Lucky Star Casino’s mission statement.
- Monitors and controls day to day table games operations including patron relations to successfully achieve a cost effective and profitable table games department.
- Supervises a smooth, effective day to day operation of the table games and support personnel.
- Maintains business forecasting, work schedules and payroll for all table game employees.
- Responsible for internal surveillance and security in the table games in conjunction with the Security and Surveillance departments.
- Responsible for detecting and taking action against cheating, fraud, (monitoring card counters and taking appropriate action) and other disruptions as company policy dictates.
- Maintains knowledge of barred persons.
- Develops, institutes and monitors marketing promotions in conjunction with the Marketing Department which includes prize give-a-ways, jackpot funds, and tournaments as well as gets involved in new product/game development recommendations.
- Responsible for sharing expertise with table games lead Dealers/Supervisors in spreading card games, promotion high limit games, dealer rotations, etc.
- Designs and implements long=term training and development programs for all staff members in the table games department.
- Responsible for annual forecasting and budgeting process.
- Establishes and implements Table Game Policies and Procedures and Employee Job Descriptions in conjunction with the Human Resources Department.
- Streamlines activities to improve operations, promote efficiency, increase cost effectiveness and ensure quality.
- Acts as a role model, always presenting oneself as a credit to Lucky Star Casino and encourages other to do the same.
- Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental, company policy and procedures.
- Implements and enforces Lucky Star Casino’s Internal Control Standards and ensures all departmental Policies and Procedures are consistent with the most current Internal Control Standards.
- Attends all required meeting and trainings.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Physical Job Requirements
- Stand/walk continuously and perform job functions for a full shift with lunch break.
- Requires finger dexterity, grasping, bending, twisting, reaching, climbing, stooping, crouching, kneeling, lifting and pulling.
- Move objects up to and exceeding 25lbs. with reasonable accommodations.
- Casino environment with exposure to smoke; loud mechanical noise and bright flashing lights.
Qualification Standards
- Must pass pre-employment drug test.
- Must maintain valid Cheyenne-Arapaho Gaming Commission.
- Must have a minimum of seven years table games experience and have a history of participation in new table games and new casino start up activities.
- Knowledgeable in promotions and advertising, marketing programs, public relations, as well as tournament experience.
- High School diploma or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be computer literate with excellent math and communication skills.
